HAT TRICK OF WINS AND CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD FOR DEMPSEY

Members of Andersen Racing threw their Allied Building Products hats in the air as they celebrated Peter Dempsey's third Star Mazda victory in a row Saturday at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. In addition to Dempsey (wearing medal with a blue ribbon), Andersen Racing's Tom Gladdis (beside him wearing medal with white ribbon) was also on the Star Mazda podium on Saturday, as he finished third.

Backed by Motorsport Ireland, Lotusworks, Quayside.ie, Center Jewellers, Trojan.ie and Allied Building Products, the Motorsport Ireland Young Driver runner up has done what seemed impossible and retrieved the championship possibilites by putting himself in the lead by 2 points on dropped scores, he has had a fantastic month in August with three wins in a row.

Peter said : "I guess you could call it the 'the luck of the Irish' that kicked in at just the right time for me today, I wasn't sure going into the race that we had the pace to win, but I was able to pass Edwards on lap 7 just a few seconds before a full-course yellow came out. When the race went green again for a couple of laps I was able to hold him off, then we had that final incident and the race ended under yellow. It's not really the way you like to win a race, but it's been a great three weeks and I'm really happy for the Andersen team and my sponsors. I just cannot believe it, to win once at Road America was good but to win again the week later at Trois-Rivieres was fantastic and to be honest I never thought I could do the HAT TRICK. I really have to thank the team Andersen Racing they have been absolutely brilliant we have worked through the tough bits and now we are getting the rewards, I would have been happy just to be on the podium "

Dempsey returns home to Ireland for a short stay, he will go back to America for a double header in New Jersey on the 12th and 13th September.
